The Gamaleya Center has developed a vaccine against the Sputnik coronavirus in the form of a spray of the second dose of the injectable Sputnik V. According to Gunzburg, the drug cannot replace the vaccine, but should additionally protect those vaccinated by injecting the virus “at the level of the entrance gate”.

On January 26, trials of the nasal vaccine began at Sechenov University, Polyclinic No. 2, and Diagnostic Center No. 5 in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The first two phases of the studies will involve 400 people. The trials will last 180 days.
