Günther Krause (68) pays nothing for his home again

Günther Krause (68) made history in 1990 as the negotiator of the German-German Unification Treaty. Since then, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the last GDR government and ex-Federal Minister of Transport has only made it into the trial preview of the courts.

Fraud, tax evasion, infidelity – Krause never missed an opportunity to rip off his counterpart!

And again there is trouble for the man who even ran for the jungle camp.

As BZ learned, he and his wife Heike Krause-Augustin did not pay the rent for their semi-detached house in Alt Töplitz, a district of Werder. In 2018 they moved into the 162 square meter new building in the idyllic Pfarrgartenweg.

They had previously resided in a 350 square meter villa with a pool, sauna and solarium in Fincken (Mecklenburg Lake District). The house saleswoman had given them the keys in good faith.

The couple practically occupied the villa for a year without paying the purchase price of 500,000 euros. Only shortly before the foreclosure both left the hijacked domicile.

And immediately boarded a new one. The broker in Alt Töplitz, like everyone else, was impressed by the statesmanlike appearance of the unit maker and refrained from a Schufa query.

The drama took its course. In late 2020 and early 2021, the Krauses did not pay rent for five months. Additional payments from the utility bills from 2019 and 2020 are still outstanding. According to property management, the backlog is a good 6600 euros!

“They only temporarily complied with an agreed additional installment payment,” says a member of the owners’ association to the BZ

The property management then pronounced the termination without notice. For the first time on May 10, 2021. Then on February 3 of this year. And then again on February 17th. Krauses didn’t move out. Now the courts should do that.

BZ rang the bell on Tuesday at Pfarrgartenweg. Heike Krause-Augustin opened the front door. Confronted with the allegations, she admitted the rent arrears, but emphasized: “We have made a payment agreement.”

They would also comply with this, she claimed. When asked about the termination, she said: “We are moving out. We want to get back to the coast.”

It is said that they should already have a new object in their sights.
