In a Twitter post, Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose apologizes for injuring fan Rebecca Howe at a concert in Australia. He writes: “If that’s true, of course we don’t want anyone to get hurt.” Nevertheless, the microphone throw, which has been part of the show for 30 years, should be known, argues the 60-year-old. In “Paradise City” the frontman usually throws his long throw.

Rose points out that some fans may also hype the issue. As a consequence, he nevertheless decides not to throw microphones into the audience in the future.

Fans show their solidarity with Axl Rose. Your sympathy for the hit fan is limited. one writes: “It wasn’t your fault. This woman just wants a few minutes of fame at your expense. Keep throwing the mic. It is the dream of thousands of fans to someday catch it.”

At the concert on November 29 in the Australian coastal city of Adelaide, Rose traditionally threw his microphone into the audience. In doing so, he met Howe. The woman wore two black eyes and a damaged nose.
