Guilty Pleasure Festival in Amsterdam canceled due to approaching storm

The Guilty Pleasure Festival at the Gaasperplas in Amsterdam is canceled today. The organization says that the safety of visitors and staff cannot be guaranteed.

Visitors were informed via Instagram, among other things. “Due to the threat of strong gusts of wind, heavy thunderstorms, considerable amounts of rain and perhaps hailstones, it has been decided, together with the security services, not to open today. This is to guarantee your safety and that of our staff. We are very sorry.”

People who had a ticket for the festival will soon receive an e-mail with more information. The festival took place yesterday.

According to Buienradar, the heaviest showers seem to pass over the city around 4:30 p.m. There is code yellow, in provinces in the southeast and east it is code orange.
