Guilian Preud’homme becomes CEO Club NXT and Club YLA

Koen Persoons also succeeds Tim Smolders as Head of Football of Club NXT, which will again play in the 1B Pro League next year. 29-year-old Preud’homme, who graduated as a civil engineer and spent more than five years working in strategic positions at Brussels Airport, will take up his new position from 4 July.

The 38-year-old Persoons, a former midfielder of KV Mechelen and Sporting Lokeren, among others, played more than 300 matches in the Belgian highest football division. He announced on Wednesday that he is putting an end to his rich playing career. Persoons was still active this season in the second national, the second amateur division, at Ninove.
