Bundesliga soccer team FSV Mainz 05 will have to do without defensive player Josuha Guilavogui for a long time.
The 33-year-old Frenchman suffered a muscle tendon injury in his left thigh during the 2-0 win against RB Leipzig on Saturday, the 05ers announced. Guilavogui “will not be available in the next few weeks,” it said.
The former Wolfsburg player was only signed in September and played for the first time last week in the cup defeat against Hertha BSC (0:3). The victory over top team Leipzig three days later was Mainz’s first Bundesliga success of the season.
