When Sabrina Carpenter entered the music business with Eyes Wide Open, it was not even clear that she would become a superstar.
Like so many of her colleagues, Sabrina Carpenter has a Disney past. In 2014 she played the leading role Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series “Girl meets World” (2014–2017, Das Leben und Riley), the spin-off of “Boy meets World”. There she was quickly built into a teen star and at the same time as a singer.

In parallel, Carpenter published her first singles and albums at Hollywood Records (a label that belongs to Disney), including the Eyes Wide Open debut in 2015.
In the meantime, the singer is a pop phenomenon celebrated worldwide. Her current album Man’s Best Friend made up for discussions weeks before appearing because of his provocative cover art work and soon she can also be heard in a duet with Taylor Swift.
Sabrina Carpenter doesn’t even know the lyrics of her first songs
Exciting months for the 26-year-old, who made a sign of the rights of trans people with her appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Canada’s cult reporter Nardwuar now reminded her of her beginnings in a video interview.
He confronted Carpenter with the text of her song “We’ll Be the Stars” from 2015: “No, We’re Never Gonna Turn to Dust / Yeah, All We Really Need is Us.” The musician needed a moment to understand what he wanted to go, then asked with a grin: “Yes … where does that come from?”
Narduwar then presented her a vinyl edition of Eyes Wide Open, from which the song comes, whereupon Carpenter bumped up with laughter. “Oh, I love this album. Every song is 10,” she added radiantly.
The moderator also had another reason to show the vinyl LP, because it is considered extremely rare. Carpenter confirmed that he had no pressing himself, whereupon Narduwar revealed that only about 200 copies existed. And all of them were distributed to record managers.
“Maybe I had one, but she must have been lost when moving,” said the singer. To break out again in laughter: “But only 200 pieces? They really took care of a dirt.”
