The Italian fashion house Gucci is back in Milan. The brand’s flagship store has reopened after renovations.
The Milan branch first opened in 1951 and, after renovations, offers a sales area of 1,800 square meters spread over two floors, Gucci said in a statement on Tuesday.
The ground floor of the store is dedicated to leather goods – handbags and shoes are presented on brightly lit, floor-to-ceiling wall shelves. The women’s and men’s collections can be found on the upper floor. Glasses, jewelry and fragrances are also available in the boutique. Two separate VIP lounges are intended to offer a luxurious shopping experience.
“This opening is a tribute to the house’s long-standing connection and history with the city of Milan, which began here in 1951. Today it is particularly meaningful that we are reopening at this address – in the heart of a city known for inspiring creativity, influencing fashion and embodying luxury,” explains Gucci CEO Jean-François Palus. “This flagship reflects Gucci’s deep appreciation for contemporary art and design and embodies the essence of Italian beauty and craftsmanship.”
To celebrate the reopening, customers can discover and pre-order the catwalk looks from the SS24 collections on the ground floor.
