Robert Triefus has been appointed Managing Director for Vault and Metaverse Ventures at Gucci.
Triefus will take up the position on November 1, the Italian fashion house announced on Thursday. He reports directly to Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri. The Metaverse boss will remain active as Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate & Brand Strategy at the Kering subsidiary.
In his new role, he will explore new opportunities for brand expansion. He is also responsible for the strategies for the areas of metaverse and gaming as well as the online platform Gucci Vault.
To further strengthen the division, Micael Barilaro, currently New Businesses Gaming & Collectibles Director, will be appointed Vice President for Metaverse Ventures.
