The twins Isaias and Gedeon Guardiola (38) are leaving the Bundesliga handball team TBV Lemgo Lippe at the end of the season.
The Spaniards’ expiring contracts will not be extended, the club announced on Monday. Circle player Gedeon Guardiola has been playing for Ostwestfalen since 2017, backcourt player Isaias since 2020.
“We owe both players a lot. The decision was therefore difficult for us. Both individually, but also both together, have raised us to a new level, especially in defence,” said TBV Managing Director Jörg Zereike. However, the club made a “prospective decision”.
