The Golden State Warriors from the North American professional basketball league NBA are apparently losing one of their guarantees for success.
As ESPN reports, general manager Bob Myers will not renew his contract, which expires in June. “The time is right,” Myers confirmed the rumors according to “ESPN”.
The 48-year-old has been with the Warriors since 2011 and has been general manager of the San Francisco-based team since 2012.
During that time, the Warriors, who were eliminated in the playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers that season, won four NBA championships.
Myers is considered one of the architects of success. Among other things, he has helped retain core players Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
