Group in shock: council questions about mouse plague in the house Francien and daughters

Fractie Tonnaer is going to ask the council questions about the mouse plague in a house of housing corporation Intermaris. They do this in response to the publication of NH Nieuws. “We are shocked by what we found on the spot,” the group writes.

Francien and her two daughters have been plagued by a terrible mouse plague for months. An investigation by a specialized extermination company shows that it is due to overdue maintenance on the home. Housing association Intermaris, however, ignored this conclusion and believes that it is due to unhygienic behavior of the residents or the food of their dogs.

No new home

The women have therefore been living in the same misery for months now. Because Intermaris does not want to cooperate in temporary alternative housing. Following the NH Nieuws report, councilor Ellen van der Knaap and party chairman Roger Tonnaer picked up on the news. They decided to take a look at the house of Francien and her daughters.

“This is just shocking. It is unbelievable that these people are still living in this house. They must get out of this house as soon as possible. Because this is dangerous for health, but also for the safety of the family is at stake. gnawing can cause a short circuit or even fire,” emphasizes Van der Knaap.

Council questions

After the visit to the house, the group formulated three questions. It wants to know from the council whether they recognize that there is a danger to the health of the residents and whether the council wants to help find a solution for the victims.

Moreover, Fractie Tonnaer broadens the problem. That is why the faction asks whether the council wants to investigate in collaboration with Intermares whether the problem also occurs in other houses in the same street.

Finally, the parties are requested to cooperate in preventing this type of excess. “For example, by providing information to local residents about the disposal of household and bulky waste and the proper maintenance of greenery.”
