Improving the quality of ground and surface water in Europe requires tackling pollution and improving water quality standards. The European Parliament has approved a proposal to this effect. If it depends on the parliamentarians, specific PFAS substances (the ‘forever chemicals’ we also know) should be added to the list of pollutants, which means that their presence would be specifically monitored.
