Groundwater levels have risen in recent weeks

Because more rain fell in January, the condition of the upper layers of the groundwater has improved. In West Flanders, the water has risen at more than half of the measuring points. The water is even very high at just over a fifth, as in Damme, Oudenburg, Torhout and Ypres. Nevertheless, we already have to protect ourselves for possible dry summer months. This can be done, for example, by softening and reusing rainwater.
