That was different this time. Jakobsen got a good lead-out, but Groenewegen simply had more power and left his slightly younger compatriot behind. Jakobsen still secured his second place, which means that his lead in the general classification is a bit firmer.
Normally, the sprinter loses his leader’s jersey on Sunday, when the final stage finishes on a mountain almost 1000 meters high.
