About a month has passed since Grimes took to Twitter to ask her fans for stories of elf ear surgery. Although she fears that the cartilage will heal with difficulty, she has longed for pointed ears her whole life, the 34-year-old said at the time. Apparently the desire was greater than the fear: on Saturday (September 17th) the musician shared a photo with a bandaged head. The caption: “I did something crazy!”

Grimes snaps out of her human skin
In another tweet, she wrote that the last song on her forthcoming album was completed in a plastic surgery clinic. Elon Musk’s former girlfriend also revealed that her new record will feature 20 songs. Only one release date is in the dark so far. Incidentally, the ear operation is not the first stage of her wondrous metamorphosis: the eccentric artist has had a “painful alien scar tattoo” on her back for a year and a half.
Grimes’ current album MISS ANTHROPOCENE will be released in February 2020.
