5. Newcomer
Greuther Fürth has signed the fifth new signing for the coming season. As the “Kleeblatt” reported on Saturday, the central midfielder Jomaine Consbruch is moving to the second division and signed a working paper until 2026. After the end of his contract with relegated Arminia Bielefeld, the 21-year-old will be on a free transfer, only if he stays up in the league would his contract with East Westphalia be automatic extended.
“We are happy that we were able to win a young, hungry player with a lot of potential in Jomaine,” said sporting director Rachid Azzouzi. Coach Alexander Zorniger added: “Jomaine is very intelligent in the game, has a good feeling for deep runs and always manages to get into good final positions from midfield and thus create a goal threat. He brings passability and responsibility for the ball to our game and has also improved off the ball over the past year.”
Born in Bielefeld, Consbruch, for whom Fürth is his third professional stop after Arminia and Eintracht Braunschweig, said: “I see the cloverleaf as the ideal place for me to develop further. Those in charge fought very hard for me. That immediately gave me the conviction, great motivation and anticipation to look for my new job here at Spielvereinigung.”
We sign Jomaine #consbreak from @arminia.
