Fürth (dpa) – SpVgg Greuther Fürth has signed a new offensive player in Afimico Pululu and thus a further alternative for the storm at the start of the second half of the Bundesliga.
“It is certainly an option, but not from the start,” said coach Stefan Leitl before the important first home game of the new year on Saturday (3:30 pm / Sky) against VfB Stuttgart.
Pululu, who was signed by the Swiss top club FC Basel, should – if necessary – give a “push” from the bank. “He is a very talented young striker with great dynamism,” said Leitl, describing the Franco-Angolan player.
Pululu signed a contract with the knocked-down bottom of the table until the summer of 2024 with an option for another season. It was not used regularly in Basel recently, which is why Leitl spoke of a “small kink” in Pululus Vita.
