Born in Carpi on 5 September 1994 under the sign of the Virgin, Gregorio Paltrinieri he is among the great protagonists of this edition of the European Swimming Championships, and in the course of his career he has already won practically everything. Italian, European, World and Olympic champion, a few months ago in Budapest he returned to the top step of the podium in the 1500 freestyle (complete with a European record) and a few days ago he also took gold in the 800 during the capital event, together with silver in his specialty. But his European championship is not over, since he will also play in the cross-country races.
