Greens mob Franziska Giffey as a bogeyman!

From Hildburg Bruns

Are the Greens abandoned by all good spirits after their coalition bankruptcy?

“If we open the door to the SPD again, the specter Franziska Giffey shouldn’t be behind it,” said Green Party leader Werner Graf (42) now on “radioeins”.

After three exploratory rounds, the still-governing party terminated the relationship with her still-coalition partner via SMS. Continuation red-green-red not desired. But there were low blows below the belt line from the eco-friendly women’s day.

“This personal dismantling is too primitive for me,” says Neukölln’s ex-mayor Heinz Buschkowsky (74, SPD), who, as a well-known Giffey critic (“narrow-gauge politician”), is otherwise not squeamish with the comrade.

Buschkowsky continues: “The Greens are exclusively driven by ideology. If they don’t get what they want, they become poisonous like a toadstool. Rule with Giffey first, then throw dirt.”

Giffey (44) saw himself under attack after the election defeat and the ultimately unsuccessful talks with the Greens.

“I have experienced massive attacks on my person, hate and hate speech. Insinuations that I would stick to my post,” she said in an interview with the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

And further: “It really hit me how people deal with you because you ended up in second place and explored both possible options.”

She also revealed what she appreciates about her new, future coalition partner Kai Wegner (50, CDU): “He has a very good sense of the people and moods in the city. He knows what moves the local people. We feel the same way.”
