Green light from the city council for new houses in the center of Eext

Fifteen new homes may be built in the center of Eext. The city council of Aa en Hunze unanimously approved the building plans tonight.

All parties speak of a good plan, which is good for the supply of homes in the village.

The houses will be located on Kampstraat and Stationsstraat, on a site where old business premises of construction companies Lanjouw and Vedder are still standing.

The buildings there are being demolished. They will make way for an apartment complex for senior citizens, four starter homes, a courtyard with three semi-detached houses and a detached house.

In addition, a new company building may be built and the village will have a museum for old tractors and engines.

The Eext Village Interests Committee is pleased that, after years, a concrete step has finally been taken to realize the plan.

“It is a bit of improvement of the living environment, a nice way of infilling,” responds village interest chairman Rubert Bruining.
