The Sounding Board Group – a group of residents and interested parties who acted as a discussion partner for the municipality – fought to the last breath for one supermarket, but the municipality decided otherwise. “There is a need for two supermarkets,” emphasized councilor Jurryt Vellinga (Leefbaar Tynaarlo), who has always defended the issue with a survey among residents and the opinion of United Ondernemend Zuidlaren (VOZ).
