Billie Joe Armstrong and his band return to Europe’s stages. The band announced this on November 2nd and also released their current single “Look Ma, No Brains!”. With the upcoming “The Saviors Tour”, Green Day are simultaneously celebrating their new album SAVIORS, which will be released on January 19th, the 30th anniversary of DOOKIE and the 20th anniversary of AMERICAN IDIOT.
Four shows in Germany
“The Saviors Tour” starts in Spain in May and then works its way through Europe until the end of June; A month later, Green Day’s US tour starts. For the European shows they have all kinds of musical support, as they are accompanied by Nothing but Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interrupters, and Maid of Ace. It has already been decided who exactly will be at which concerts. It was also announced that the punk rock band will play at some festivals in addition to their own tour appearances, such as Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.
In addition to the festival dates, Green Day will also play for two other shows in Germany, at the Hamburg trotting track and at the Berlin Waldbühne. They are supported here by the Donots. The band has all show dates and support acts on their Instagram account announced:
Look Ma, No Brains!
Green Day provided a foretaste of the tour and therefore also of the new album when it was announced. Their new track “Look Ma, No Brains!” comes together with a black and white music video in retro punk style and proves: Green Day remain true to themselves. You can listen to the song here:
Tickets & tour dates at a glance
Advance sales of tickets start on November 8th, and anyone who has already pre-ordered SAVIORS will have access to the tickets one day in advance. Normal sales then start on November 10th. You can find tickets and all other information about the tour here.
