Tallon Valentijn failed to provide a surprise in the second round of Wimbledon. The number 2 in the Netherlands lost 6-4 7-6 (0) 6-3 to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who is fifth in the table.
Greek track, the global number 53, was in the second round of Wimbledon for the first time. Last year, on his debut in the opening round, he lost to Alexander Zverev.
19-year-old Alcaraz is the third best performing player of the season. The number 7 in the world has already won four tournaments this year, including two masters tournaments.
The 25-year-old Greek track is now returning to clay. From 11 July he will make his appearance at the Dutch Open, a challenger tournament in Amersfoort.
