Greek track again reaches the semi-finals in Rotterdam and meets Sinner

Tallon Greekpoor has again reached the semi-finals of the ABN Amro Open in Rotterdam. The tennis player from Nieuw-Vennep defeated the Finn Emil Ruusuvuori after two sets: 7-5 7-6 (4). Greek track also reached the semi-finals last year, where Jannik Sinner was too strong. The Italian, who recently won the Australian Open, is his opponent again.

Greek Spoor will meet Sinner in Rotterdam tomorrow evening from 7:30 PM. The match against Ruusuvuori had to get going a bit on Friday evening. In the first game,reekspoor immediately had break opportunities, but he missed them.

A little later the Finn also had a chance on the Dutchman’s service, but he also did not take advantage of it. Greekspor managed to strike at 5-5. After a double fault by Ruusuvuori, he took the break and then served out the set.

In set two, Ruusuvuori, number 55 in the world, again proved to be tough. He made it difficult for the home player with excellent serving work, but Greek track was stronger on the important points throughout the match.

A tiebreak was needed to decide the second set, the sixth again for Greek Spoor this week. In the tiebreak against Ruusuvuori, he made up for a minibreak, after which he served out the match at 6-4 and secured the semi-final place.

Sinner won after a surrender from Canadian Milos Raonic. At that moment it was 7-6 (4) 1-1.

The other semi-final battle is between the Australian Alex de Minaur and the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov. They qualified earlier in the day. The final, which will in any case have a new tournament winner, is scheduled for Sunday.
