Greco-Roman Wrestling National Team World Champion – Breaking Wrestling News



Greco-Roman style competitions came to an end at the Senior World Wrestling Championship held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Nationals won 2 gold and 3 bronze medals in Greco-Roman style. Rıza Kayaalp in 130 kilos and Burhan Akbudak in 82 kilos are gold; Selçuk Can in 72 kg, Yunus Emre Başar in 77 kg and Ali Cengiz in 87 kg won bronze medals. Metehan Başar at 97 kg and Murat Fırat at 67 kg finished the tournament in fifth place.
Turkey became the champion for the first time since the 2009 championship in Denmark, ranking first as a team in Greco-Roman style with 125 points. Azerbaijan finished the tournament in second place with 118 points; Serbia took the third place with 110 points.
