Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt has signed the Ecuadorian national soccer player Willian Pacho for the new season.
The 21-year-old defensive player is moving from the Belgian first division club Royal Antwerpen to Hesse and will receive a contract until 2028. The Bundesliga club announced this on Thursday.
“For us, this is an important transfer for the coming season. Willian is still young, but already has international experience. Above all, his speed and strength in tackles set him apart. We are happy that he has decided to join Eintracht, and We want to further develop his great potential,” said Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche in a club statement.
Pacho joined Antwerp in January 2022 via Ecuadorian top flight side Independiente del Valle, with whom he won the league title in 2021.
The central defender has played 42 games for Frankfurt’s Europa League group opponents from the previous season. Pacho made his international debut against Australia last Tuesday, heading in the 2-1 winner.
