The 20-year-old attacker, in Amsterdam on his way back after a lost year in Italy, gave an assist in the Kitchen Champion Division match with Top Oss before half-time and scored himself after half-time. The team of coach John Heitinga was already leading 4-0 after an hour. It became 4-1.
Last Friday, Ihattaren made his debut with the U23 team after a year without playing minutes. He then came in against NAC Breda (0-0). Ihattaren was the last basic player in February 2021, when still as a PSV player. The Utrechter regularly clashed with trainer Roger Schmidt, who no longer saw a future in him. Juventus took him over from PSV in the summer and then stored him at Sampdoria. However, he did not play a single game for that club.
Ihattaren came over from Juventus to Ajax on a rental basis in the past transfer period. The midfielder then joined Jong Ajax to work on his fitness. Against Top, he prepared Kenneth Taylor’s 3-0 after 33 minutes and Ihattaren made the fourth goal of the team from Amsterdam after 57 minutes. He found the top corner with a beautifully aimed shot.
