Johann Grandits GmbH is insolvent.
The company behind the men’s fashion retailer Grandits filed for bankruptcy at the Vienna Commercial Court on January 31, the Austrian creditor protection association KSV1870 announced on Wednesday. Attorney Ulla Reisch from the law firm Urbanek|Lind|Schmied|Reisch Rechtsanwälte OG was appointed as insolvency administrator, and was also active in this role for the Austrian subsidiary of the clothing supplier Gerry Weber.
Johann Grandits opened his first shop in Vienna in 1975. The retailer, which is now managed by Markus Grandits as managing director, now operates two menswear stores – on Alserstrasse and Rotenturmstrasse – as well as a store specializing in wedding fashion in Vienna.
