Grancini acquitted the ultra Viking leader of Juve: the accusation was of attempted extortion

He was sentenced in December 2019 to five and a half years in prison for allegedly threatening the owner of a sports events company. The sentence was overturned on appeal

“The fact does not exist”. And so Loris Grancini, historical leader of the Viking, ultra group of the Juventus curve, was acquitted with full formula by the Milan Court of Appeal. He was sentenced in the first instance in December 2019 to 5 and a half years of imprisonment for attempted extortion because, this accusation, he allegedly threatened, together with others, the owner of a Milanese sports events company to force him “to get them tickets” with a “preferential lane” for Juve matches, including a Champions League match between Juve and Real Madrid in 2015.

Formula

The judges also acquitted with the same formula the other two defendants Christian Mauriello (for him 5 years in first instance) and Christian Fasoli (who had been sentenced to 4 years). According to the indictment, Grancini, who was arrested in December 2017 to serve 13 years and 11 months, including a sentence for attempted murder, would have entered the ticket sales point in Milan, together with Mauriello and Fasoli, and among other things he would have said: “Nice tall here, do you know how easily it burns?”. In total, four episodes of attempted extortion were attributed to him.
