The grain agreement that Ukraine and Russia signed may well dampen global food prices. In the run-up to the deal, the grain price on the international markets already fell by two percent yesterday. However, we should not expect bread to become cheaper with us again. That is what Eddy Van Damme, chairman of the Flemish bakers’ federation, says.
