Grafton, USA: the libertarian experiment that went wrong

For more than a decade, A group of militants from the same school as President Javier Milei, tested their project in a small town in New Hampshire, in the United States, called Grafton. The basic notion of that model society was to completely eliminate the presence of the State: voucher systems, elimination of taxes and all urban regulations. But things did not go as expected. “The libertarian experiment that went wrong” is the cover title of NEWS this week. It happened that, in a short time, there was an unprecedented increase in social violence, people could not agree on basic rules of coexistence; Homicides and other crimes multiplied, and something also happened that put the town of Grafton in the news: it suffered an invasion of bears that attacked homes due to lack of coordination in garbage management. The note displays the details of this political, sociological and urban experiment that seems straight out of fiction, and includes extravagant leaders, like the one who spoke with God. Abundant similarities with the Argentine reality. The research has the testimony of the American journalist who investigated the case and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.

Also on this week’s cover, Susana’s 80s and her new life, with new habits and his farewell to the theater.

The Coquette style, the fashion of lace, ruffles and bows that brings a new version of Rococo.

AND the best “pet friendly” beacheswhere they are and what are the codes to enjoy the beach with dogs.
