Graduation ceremony: Lübeck University of Applied Sciences celebrates graduates of the winter semester

An important phase in life began for the graduates of the 2022/2023 winter semester: the completion of their studies and entry into further studies or professional life. The TH Lübeck celebrated its students on Saturday, March 25th at 2 p.m. in the St. Petri Church in Lübeck. A total of 397 students were able to complete their degree at the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences in the 2022/2023 winter semester. Of these, 70 graduates in Departments of Applied Sciences129 in construction82 in the electrical engineering and computer science as well as 116 in mechanical engineering and economics.

After a musical introduction by The OhOhOhs, Pastor Dr. Bernd Schwarze completed the round of greetings with a spoken poetry introduction to Psalm 8: “What is man?”

The President of the TH Lübeck, Dr. Muriel Helbig also warmly welcomed the graduates. “You can all be incredibly proud of yourself. You followed your passions and mastered a demanding course of study. With your knowledge, you can make a positive and important contribution to our society.” The President then introduced a minute’s silence for Sebastian Schütt – a master’s graduate in urban planning who died in early March.

In his office as mayor, Klaus Puschaddel best wishes for the graduates. The graduates received a special award from the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences Promotion Society. André Dylong, board member of the funding company, presented awards for special academic achievements.

After the graduation certificates had been awarded to all graduates, Jasper Starke, architecture master’s graduate, and Julia Jobmann, civil engineering master’s graduate, gave a speech for the 2022/2023 winter semester. “In summary, we can all say that our studies were an intensive but also carefree, unique, varied and formative time that we were able to shape ourselves. Each semester was an adventure in itself. You just had to be there! So we all felt at home in this cozy city and found a “family” at the TH Lübeck, which made a great study possible for us. Studying as it should be – personally. Finally, we wish everyone all the best for the future!”
