At the Finnish sports gala, today, Thursday, our country’s best athletes and sports influencers will be awarded. The gala organized at the Helsinki Ice Rink can be watched live on TV2 and Areena starting at 8 p.m.
Ten awards are given out at the sports gala: role model, breakthrough, Finland’s most active workplace, Finland’s most mobile municipality, most moving sports moment, team of the year, athlete of the year, young athlete of the year, sports club of the year and coach of the year.
The exemplar, breakthrough, more active workplace, sports club and most mobile municipality will be awarded by a jury consisting of more than 300 members. Among the members of the council are politicians, former and current top athletes and officials of sports organizations.
Athlete of the year, young athlete, coach and team are voted for by the members of the Sports Editor Association.
