The rain arrived, as was feared, to disturb the qualifying day of the San Marino GP, and as often happens, the wet asphalt caused a nice reversal of values. Dennis Foggia, Izan Guevara and Ayumi Sasaki had dominated the free practices of Moto3, yet none of the three is present in the front row when the checkered flag is lowered, with the Spaniard, the best of the three, 5th, while Dennis has to settle for 7th time and the Japanese even 17th among the 18 who played in Q2. And neither does the leader of the World Championship, Sergio Garcia, who will start 13th.

Starting from pole, it will be Deniz Oncu, the turn of the KTM Tech3 team, good at catching the best time at the very last, 1’42 ”448, 23 thousandths better than Daniel Holgado and Diogo Moreira who will start alongside him in the front row.
