Governor Carl Decaluwé on Focus & WTV: “tonight and…

“I don’t think we have everything in our own hands,” says Governor Carl Decaluwé in the news tonight on Focus&WTV. “We are using our pumping capacity to the maximum, but that may not be enough. Everything will depend on where it rains and how much in France. And that is my biggest concern.”

For the time being, not many houses are actually threatened, but evacuations are not yet an option: “We will keep that in mind. We will meet with the water managers tonight and simulate everything. I don’t expect any more major problems today, but maybe tonight and tomorrow.”
