The new government bond has more than broken the record set in 2011. At the time, the so-called Leterme state bond amounted to 5.7 billion euros.
The campaign will run until September 1. Those who invest in the government bond through their banker can therefore still subscribe until next Friday. If you do it yourself, the deadline is Thursday. Thanks to a reduced withholding tax, the government bond yields 2.81 percent net.
