Dennis Schouten and Jan Roos remove the part of their latest Gossip Talk broadcast in which they claim that the De Mol family paid witnesses in the assault case against Johnny.
John de Mol is furious about Gossip Talk’s claim that several witnesses in the assault case against Johnny de Mol would have received five thousand euros. He demanded a rectification and removal of the broadcast. Presenters Dennis Schouten and Jan Roos have decided to go along with it.
No chance
Dennis and Jan say on their social media: “We have decided to (partly) comply with John de Mol’s requirement to cut out part of the broadcast (5 minutes) and post a correction (Monday at 5 pm). 00 hours). Why?”
There are three reasons for this, they say. “We may not want to put others at risk. You have no chance in a lawsuit against a billionaire. We don’t feel like sitting in court every month.”
10,000 euros
Peter Plasman, lawyer of John de Mol, confirms to RTL Boulevard that Gossip Talk meets their demands. Proceedings on the merits had also been announced to claim damage suffered, but according to him, John will propose to transfer an amount of 10,000 euros to Stichting Het Vergeten Kind.
Gossip Talk does not go along with that. “The fact that the De Mol family now suddenly wants us to pay 10,000 euros to ‘The forgotten child’ is crazy. We are not going to participate in a ‘Look what we’re good for’ moment of this family. We do, however, advise the De Mol Family in these troubled times to pay 10,000 euros themselves for a ‘Stay of my body home’.”
‘Nothing else’
Why a stay-from-my-body home? That is ‘related to the case of Johnny de Mol’, Dennis adds at Boulevard. “Suppose John de Mol transfers the money, then we would like to do the same, but then to the Stay Of My Body. Otherwise they will not see any money.”
