The duo started a crowdfunding campaign to pay the costs of the lawsuit that Famke Louise brought against the men. Within 24 hours, the makers of Gossip talk collected the required amount of 27,000 euros. Fans of the online program, however, continued to deposit money and the counter now stands at more than 35,000 euros.
Yesterday Roos and Schouten called the proceeds of the crowdfunding ‘the ultimate middle finger to politically correct judges, woke mainstream media and other freedom of expression haters’. ,,We are so happy to have you, Gossip friends. We are so incredibly grateful to you. What a hero. Truly speechless. We’re taking one on you tigers,” they said on their website.
Roos and Schouten lost the summary proceedings that Famke Louise had filed on Wednesday. The singer demanded that a YouTube broadcast of their juice channel Gossip Talk be taken offline because Roos and Schouten wrongly suggested that the singer had been abused by her former manager Ali B. They also shared a never released song by the singer.
In February, Carlo Boszhard also filed a report against Gossip talk, after Roos and Schouten claimed in an episode that the RTL presenter had ‘handed down’ a well-known male colleague.
