Gossip announce concerts in Germany this summer

They will perform in Hamburg, Ulm, Munich and Bonn this summer. There’s a Berlin gig in March.

After announcing their new album REAL POWER for March 22nd and the release of two pre-singles (“Crazy Again” and “Real Power”), Gossip have now also announced a decent number of tour dates. The American trio travels through Europe from June to September. The singer Beth Ditto and her band are also coming to Germany for four gigs.

Before the summer concert tour, there will also be an exclusive release show in Berlin, on March 21st at the Lido. Gossip was founded in 1999 in Olympia, Washington, USA. Initially the group consisted of singer Beth Ditto, bassist Nathan Howdeshell and drummer Kathy Mendonca. Hannah Blilie has been on drums since 2003.

They released their first album THAT’S NOT WHAT I HEARD in 2001, followed by MOVEMENT in 2003. Gossip received international recognition with STANDING IN THE WAY OF CONTROL (2006), which received critical acclaim. The breakthrough came with the song “Heavy Cross”.

In 2016, the band wanted to take a break while Beth Ditto focused on her solo career. She released a solo album and was also active in the fashion industry. The trio is celebrating its comeback with REAL POWER and this year’s tour.
