Görtz brings clothing range to the online shop

The shoe retailer Görtz is expanding its online range and integrating the clothing category into its online shop.

The Hamburg-based company already announced last June that clothing should also be added to the range as part of its online marketplace. Görtz has now integrated clothing for men and women into its online shop, the company announced on Thursday.

At the start of the new category, 5,000 articles from more than 60 brands will be offered – including Marc O’Polo, Brax and Rich & Royal, but also sportswear brands such as Nike and Hummel. There are also plans to expand the range of clothing for children.

“The strong growth on the platform has shown us that the expansion of product ranges has a key function in our business model,” said Görtz CEO Frank Revermann. “The first days of launching the clothing category were already very successful. Shirts and dresses currently dominate sales.”

In stationary retail, however, the focus should remain on the core range of shoes and accessories. However, the stores also serve as pick-up points for Click & Collect in the clothing area.
