British top chef Gordon Ramsay, 56, is known for his sharp opinions, especially when it comes to food. In a recent interview with the People website, Ramsay states that social media has been the best thing that has ever happened to the restaurant industry.

-Instead of people waiting for weeks to post their restaurant reviews, social media users give feedback in seconds, says Ramsay.

This time, Ramsay is eager to praise a recipe that has charmed social media, and which originates from Finland. Namely, Ramsay praises the oven feta pasta recipe developed by Finn Jenni Häyrinen, which made headlines in 2019. The recipe has also spread around the world on the Tiktok video service.

According to Ramsay, the pasta recipe in question helped people survive the coronavirus pandemic.

– The pandemic was one of the most difficult moments in our industry, so I love it, Ramsay enthuses.

The top chef says that he himself is inspired by other people’s innovative recipes. In Ramsay’s opinion, Häyrinen’s pasta recipe is particularly good because the food in question is really affordable and people can easily implement it.

– This is especially fascinating because you think: “Does the recipe really work?” and suddenly you have a roasted feta tomato dish that you can serve to six or ten guests very cheaply, Ramsay praises.
