What a fuss Gordon made two weeks ago about his arrival at Today Inside. First he said he would come, then he canceled again, then he disappeared from Instagram and canceled his theater tour, but now he is back and he really wants to be in the talk show on Thursday evening. But Wilfred Genee has thrown the door in his face.
No polls
However, the chance is not entirely zero that Gordon will soon join VI, according to additional images on the website Show news site. “Do you know what it is, honey? Unfortunately, we cannot hold polls within our program, but for me it is always about: would the viewer like it? I have no idea,” says René van der Gijp.
It depends a bit on that, says René. “If the viewer likes it, we should do it, but if the viewer thinks: figure it out, man, then we shouldn’t do it.”
In every direction
Wilfred Genee has no idea whether Gordon still wants to go to VI, because those are daily rates for him. “It’s shooting in all directions. We’ll take a look at it from time to time.”
One thing is certain: Gordon will not get a place at the table at VI, Wilfred emphasizes. He has to sit on a bar stool if he comes at all. “The only thing is, of course: I read that he wanted to sit at the table, but Gerard Joling always sits at the bar. You can’t just sit at the table, can you? You have to earn that place.”
To sing
Will VI at least ban him from singing? René: “I let him sing. I don’t have any problem with it at all, really. Zero.”
But pure? Maybe bring autotune? “It doesn’t even have to be from me. I think he can sing as out of tune as a crow. I really don’t give a shit. I think it’s really fine.”
Fan of Goor
Wilfred emphasizes that he has nothing against Gordon at all. “No kidding: I just want to make it clear that I am a fan of Gordon, right? I think he’s very fast, he’s very funny and he’s a lot of fun. Just don’t make it so big, man. We are in a business where we give out and have to receive.”
“You can’t just hand out in the trade, can you?”
