Gordon completely calls on himself the massive criticism he receives, according to TV star Henny Huisman. It particularly bothers him that the SBS 6 star brags so much about his luxury life in Dubai.
Gordon continuously posts all kinds of photos and videos of his luxurious life in Dubai on Instagram. He got his socials Suddenly offline last week, but six days later his Insta break was over. Almost at the same time as taking his socials offline, Gordon promised never to give an interview again. That promise has not yet been broken, although we are already four days further.
‘Own fault!’
If it’s up to Henny, Gordon switches off his socials immediately, because that boasting of his luxurious life in Dubai and his very expensive plane trips is disastrous, according to him. “Stop showing how you’re bathed in luxury. There are so many people, especially now, who can’t even go on vacation. With that attitude you generate a lot of resistance,” he says in the Story.
He continues: “There is always a group that begrudges you that. So the criticism he gets, he takes on himself. It’s really his own fault.”
Blushing fiasco
It doesn’t surprise Henny that Gordon has had to close the Blaricum branch of Blushing. He joins the criticism that you cannot run catering businesses in the Netherlands if you live in Dubai. “Guests come because they want to see you. And if that doesn’t happen, they stay away.”
Gordon is a very fickle man, according to the former presenter. “One week he thinks blue is the most beautiful color, and a week later he describes that color as the ugliest. Or he stops singing and then records another CD.”
TV career over?
Henny mainly fears for Gordon’s TV career. His current contract with SBS 6 will only continue next year. “From what I’ve heard, a lot of money was involved. And what should happen after that?”
We’ll have to see if that will be extended, says Henny. “He has a great talent and has made beautiful programs. But lately he’s been doing a lot of the same. I think Gordon is in a lot of trouble with himself.”
