Gordon completely slaughtered by biographer Meilandjes: ‘Stay in Dubai!’

Gordon is completely slaughtered by Jan Dijkgraaf, the biographer of the Meilandjes. He thinks the SBS 6 star is a huge failure and makes no secret of it. “Stay in Dubai!”

It seems Gordon has achieved his goal with his emigration to Dubai. He is much less in the spotlight these days and therefore gets considerably less dung over him. Still, he is sometimes quite put through the paces, as recently by Angela de Jong and now by Jan Dijkgraaf, the biographer of the Meilandjes.

Gordon butchered

Jan is going to his podcast in the new episode Nasty Boys all the way on Gordon. At one point he calls him a ‘levelless, vulgar t*ringl***r’. “Stay in Dubai with your big ass. Dirty, dirty bastard. Then you do something good for the people.”

Gordon is brought down by Jan in an unprecedented way. Even his dogs have to pay for it (‘throughbred misfires’). “Really no one will regret it if Gordon is no longer there tomorrow,” it sounds, among other things. And: “I really won’t lose any sleep over it, but I also have that with all D66 members.”

5 to 5

Gordon is currently on the channel with the second season of 5 against 5. “5 against 5 used to be presented by Willem Ruis (…) and I really liked him. And then a hundred years later they’re going to have Gordon do 5v5. So it is doomed to fail. That also worked, that failed, because he had 218,000 viewers when he returned to the tube.”

Jan continues: “SBS 6 now has three good things in terms of viewing figures: Today Inside on three, Peter Gillis on two and everything from de Meilandjes on one. That’s SBS 6.”

right hand

According to Jan, Gordon has sunk deep. “I don’t know if you remember how Gordon switched from RTL to SBS at the time, but he became ‘John de Mol’s right hand’ and he was going to make it all over at that station. And now he’s raping god damn it 5 to 5.”

Did he become John’s right-hand man?! “No, that’s what he said himself. Gordon, of course, owes everything to Gerard Joling. If you think back to what were successful Gordon programs, then it wasn’t Gordon, it was always Gerard Joling. It was rock solid.”

Girls are a fan

The Meilandjes themselves are indeed a fan of Gordon. This week he is a guest in their positive podcast† “I always think he’s a kind of pleasant man, a pleasant person”, says Martien. “He’s gotten so much dredging over him in recent years and if you really care about that, it’s like a bucket that just gets fuller and fuller.”

Gordon finds a sympathetic ear when it comes to the many criticisms of his person. “Of course you always have vinegar pissers”, Erica explains to him. He then: “What I mainly hold on to is that reality is always very different from what is portrayed on social media or in the media, because when we walk on the street everyone is always so nice and so positive!”

Last year Gordon considered ‘to file a report against columnists such as Jan Roos and Jan Dijkgraaf’. “But you know, they should also be able to say what they want,” he said in De Telegraaf.
