The US consulting and private equity firm Gordon Brothers has promoted Carolyn D’Angelo to Senior Managing Director, Brand Operations. The veteran industry expert will also continue to lead the Laura Ashley and Nicole Miller brands, the Boston-based company said on Tuesday. In her new function, D’Angelo will concentrate on the further development, marketing and product design of the group’s brands and the acquisition of license and trading partners.
Gordon Brothers specializes in restructuring financially troubled companies. In spring 2020, for example, the company took over the intellectual property rights of the insolvent British traditional brand Laura Ashley and has been working on successfully repositioning the label ever since. In the meantime, the clothing suppliers Orsay and Bench also belonged to the company’s portfolio.
