THEMay 1st this year will not be just Labor Day. It will also be the day the Italians break free (with some exceptions) masks after almost two and a half years of obligation.
Goodbye mask: but will it really be like this?
In short, is the day of free everyone approaching? Almost. Today the Government will take stock at Palazzo Chigi, but it is now practically certain that the orientation of Prime Minister Draghi is that of keep the safety device only in certain more risky circumstances.
The virus, in fact, is by no means defeated and continues to run pulled by the Omicron 2 variant. Surely, however, it has much less impact on people. And therefore, also thanks to the arrival of the warm season and the temperatures that allow you to be much more outdoors, the time has come to keep the safety device far more in your pocket than on your face.
Where we will continue to use the masks
The exceptions and situations most at risk for which the Government will extend the obligation of Ffp2 masks from May 1st onwards they are: public transport local buses, subways, trams, and long-distance means of transport, airplanes, ships and trains.
Cinemas and theaters
The Ffp2 will remain compulsory for a few more weeks in cinemas, theaters, concert halls. And also in indoor sports halls. In stadiums, where you are outdoors, masks will be mandatory until April 30, no later than.
Masks at work and at school
The decision in these two contexts has not yet been madethe only thing that appears certain is that the government will not make distinctions between public and private workplaces.
On the masks at school the reflection is open. Minister Bianchi, however, would be determined to keep them because with only a few weeks left until the end of the school year, it would be foolish to increase the risks right now.
In shops and hairdressers
Open reflection also in the case of shops: in fact, these are closed places where there is a risk of crowding. And, therefore, it is possible that the bezels may remain in certain circumstances, such as i shopping malls on weekends.
Barbers, hairdressers and beauty centers are among the activities considered most at riskfor which the obligation of Ffp2 masks should remain for a few more weeks.
New rules also on the green pass
From 1 May the green pass it will no longer be necessary to access workplaces and public places. The only exception is for workers in hospitals and RSAs for whom the suspension from work remains for those who do not get vaccinated, until 31 December ».
So stop at the green pass in workplaces, bars and restaurants even indoors and in canteens. Away also for cinemas and theaters also indoors and sporting events.
It will no longer even be needed for the wellness centers, for indoor sports activities and in the changing rooms.
The obligation to participate in conferences and congresses or public competitions has ended. Also off to game rooms, betting rooms, bingo halls and casinos, indoor parties and discos. And it’s enough to go up too on means of transport.
