The new season in the Korfbal League has started with a win for Groen Geel. The korfball players from Wormer were too strong for PhD student Unitas in the first round: 22-17. Blauw-Wit and KZ will play against each other in the season opener tomorrow.
The game went back and forth in the first half. Green Yellow is unable to make a hole in the score, because the score went from 9-6 to 10-9. Carlo de Vries took four hits.
After the break, Unitas continued to offer good resistance. With a 14-14 score, Green Yellow ran out to 20-15. That made it 22-17 for the team from Wormer. De Vries became the top scorer with six hits in total.
North Holland get-together
