Kris comes to the animal shelter in Roeselare almost every day. His help is indispensable.
“I’m here every day, or at least six days a week, for complete dog care,” says Kris.
“From feeding them to cleaning the kennels, to working with the dogs, playing, going for walks. In fact, everything that has to do with the dogs. I think they are extremely grateful to us. They say themselves, without volunteers the shelter could not survive. Don’t turn, okay.”
Jotti would also no longer be able to miss her work at the shelter, and recommends the job to anyone who loves animals.
“If you have any doubts, just do it, because then you will certainly get satisfaction from it. And if you don’t think about it, definitely think about it because as I said before: you are supporting a good cause. And yes, the love that you get back from the animals is really palpable and goes deep into your heart.”
