Good news for Ferry fans: Netflix announces new film

There will be a second Netflix film about top Brabant criminal Ferry Bouman. After three seasons of ‘Undercover’, a movie and ‘Ferry: the series’, fans can already get excited for more.

In a video on Instagram you can see how Frank Lammers has his hair combed back again for the role of Ferry Bouman. The film will be released in 2024.

The second film picks up where the just-launched series ends. Ferry has left our province and is living a retired life after losing everything.

Away from drugs
“Life as a drug baron has left its mark,” Frank Lammers says in the YouTube program ‘Open Kaart’. “Actually, he is very lonely. So he decides to leave and start a new life. Away from the drugs and all the hassle.”

Actor Huub Smit also returns in the second film and plays the role of Dennis again. Netflix will announce the rest of the cast later.

Ferry’s character was once loosely based on the practices of a real Brabant villain: Janus van Wesenbeeck. Curious about this ex-drug lord from the south? Watch it in the episode of Crime Explained.
